Welcome to Rewind or Die! I'm "Dynamite" Jarrod Lachey and this is sort of my first time running an actual blog. As some of you may already know, I'm an avid collector of movies, especially on the VHS format. I've decided to start this blog to post about my interest in VHS and film.
One of the biggest reasons I decided to start this blog was to have a platform for my 31 Days of Horror movie reviews. Some of you already know that for the past 4 or so years I've been reviewing Horror films every day of October. Up until now, I had been doing those reviews through Facebook. This year I've decided to take the next step and post the reviews through this blog.
For my friends on Facebook that are interested, but don't really care enough to check my blog every day, I will still be posting what film I'm watching each day on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You can also follow me on Twitter @DynamiteJarrod, where I will be posting live thoughts as I watch the movies.
A handful of my Facebook friends that enjoyed some of my earlier video reviews have asked me if I'm going to be doing any for 31 days of horror. Sadly, at this point in time it doesn't appear to be in the cards. I was hoping to have the necessary equipment in time to have roughly at least 4 video reviews ready before October even started. But unfortunately that's not how things turned out. However, I am still planning on doing more video reviews in the future. Those reviews will be posted on this blog when that happens.
Going beyond 31 Days of Horror I plan to continue posting material to keep this blog going year round. You can expect to see more tape reviews and probably some pictures from hunts I'll be going on. In November, I'm going on a week and a half long hunt for Analog goodies in the wild! So I'm sure I'll be posting all sorts of updates and crazy stories about my journey. Until then, lets get ready for 31 Days of Horror!! It begins this Wednesday, so keep checking back every day this October for the good, the bad, the weird, and the gory reviews that I'll be posting. Thanks for checking this out and all the support.
